Port Maintenance Dredging
Civil Engineering
Port Maintenance Dredging
| LOCATION: | Pasir Panjang Terminal, Singapore |
| TYPE: | Civil Engineering |
| CLIENT: | PSA Corporation Pte Ltd |
| CONTRACT VALUE: | S$4.66 Million |
| COMPLETION DATE: | Jan 2027 |
About The Project
Unlike conventional dredging operations, maintenance dredging is highly challenging due to the stringent requirement in dredging design depths. Having an allowable tolerance of only fractions of a metre, such operations by massive vessels are required to be carried out with immense care to avoid any over-dredging. The fact that it is carried out in one of the world’s busiest ports heightened the difficulty level of project planning and execution. Maintenance dredging was carried out in an area of 280ha in Pasir Panjang Terminal within 9.5 months. State-of-the-art hydrographic survey equipment was adopted to address the strict hydrographic survey requirements set out by the client. Enhancement to our vessels’ depth sensory equipment enabled our team to perform maintenance dredging within the terminal up to the required accuracy. This allowed an economical and efficient dredging and dumping operation to be carried out, delivering the project within budget and on time.

Ayer Chawan Basin
Civil Engineering, Marine & Coastal
Marina East Staging Ground
| LOCATION: | Marina East Drive, Singapore |
| TYPE: | Civil Engineering, Marine & Coastal |
| CLIENT: | Land Transport Authority |
| CONTRACT VALUE: | S $99.30 Million |
| COMPLETION DATE: | Sep 2027 |
About The Project
Marina East Staging Ground (MESG) is a support facility for Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects all around Singapore to deliver excavated materials to the staging ground to be used as infill materials for land reclamation. This helps to reduce the dependency of sand required for conventional infilling works. Materials are weighed, discharged directly into barges and then sent to their designated dumping sites. The LTA projects include but not limited to, MRT Tunnelling, Stations, Flyover and Depots. The team’s display of innovation throughout the project has contributed significantly to the success of MESG. Besides being the first in Singapore to introduce the direct discharged platform at the staging ground, MESG is also the only project then in Singapore approved to use Recycle Construction Concrete with Bricks (RCCB) – green material – as a fill material for the construction of T-bund.
